As India readies itself to celebrate the sacred festival of Chhath, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Friday called upon citizens to embrace the spirit of devotion and cultural unity by sharing songs dedicated to Chhathi Maiya. This festival, deeply rooted in nature worship and cultural tradition, is being fervently prepared for across Bihar and many parts of the country.

Chhath Puja, one of the most significant and ancient festivals of India, honors the Sun God and Chhathi Maiya, invoking blessings for health, prosperity, and well-being.

He said,”The grand festival dedicated to nature and culture, Chhath, is approaching. Devotees across the country, including Bihar, have whole-heartedly engaged in its preparations with deep devotion. The songs of Chhathi Maiya add to the grandeur and divinity of this sacred occasion. I request you to share with me the songs related to Chhath Puja. I will share them with all the citizens of the country over the next few days.”

Through this call, the Prime Minister aims to connect people across India by celebrating shared cultural values and the timeless traditions of Chhath, fostering unity and reverence for nature.
